Fierozzo

Fierozzo extends in the Valle dei Mocheni and offers a variety of leisure time activities

Fierozzo, also called Vlarotz in the dialect of the Valle dei Mocheni, consits of the two component localities San Felice and San Francesco. The village is surveyed by several mountains that are higher than 2,000 m, such as the Fravort and Gronlàit. In this village the dialect of the Valle dei Mocheni is still spoken, which is a language of Germanic origins. In fact, the Istituto Culturale Mocheno today is entrusted with task to monitor this language in order to preserve it.

In all the seasons of the year, Fierozzo is worth to be visited: in summer this area is ideal for mountaineering, promenading or cycling. From San Francesco e.g. you can ascend the Gronlàit, a tour that also makes you experience historic farms as well as beautiful meadows and forests. In winter, however, Fierozzo is an ideal starting point for ski tours. Gourmets will above all appreciate the trattorie and restaurants of Fierozzo. From the village Prati Imperiali you can reach the Valle Valcava, an intact valley that is particularly striking due to its meadows and larch forests.
