In keeping with tradition, the first week of August Cavareno celebrates the Charta della Regola, the spectacular historical re-enactment of the ancient communal regulations. For the occasion, the town is transformed into a real medieval village, to recall the period of the Charta della Regola, the ancient statute that established the rules of peasant life, from cutting hay to social organisation.
The event therefore aims to revive the atmosphere of peasant life of the past and to introduce people to ancient trades.

The streets and lanes of the village will be teeming with artisans, peasants, nobles and commoners, but in addition to parades in period costume and the usual reading of the document, there will also be side events in the days leading up to the event: markets, cultural events, children's activities, music, and guided tours of the village's churches and historical buildings.
