The Lago delle Piazze is an artificial lake that lies in a basin at the foot of the Dosso di Costalta and the forests of Ceramonte. Its shores are characterised by meadows and a pine forest where you can practise different sports, including hiking, mountain biking, fishing and horse riding. The beaches are equipped with a bar, public toilets, playgrounds, recreational areas, fishing points and a Bau Beach for dogs. The lake is perfectly suitable for a wide range of water sports like canoeing, windsurfing and rowing on a dragon boat. All the necessary equipment can be hired at the rental points on the beaches.
The body of water in the village of Bedollo is surrounded by several hiking paths and a cycle path leading to Lago delle Buse. We recommend undertaking a tour of the lake along a flat path suitable for baby carriages. Another wonderful excursion is the circular walk around the Lakes of Piné.
Also in 2026 the Guida Blu of the Legambiente and of the Touring Club Italiano, an association founded in 1894 with the aim of promoting tourism in Italy, awarded the municipality of Bedollo and Lake Piazze with the prestigious award "Tre Vele" for its excellent water quality and services and the particular attention devoted to the protection of the environment and biodiversity.
The Lago delle Piazze stretches over a surface of 0.23 sq km, is 1 km long, 300 metres wide and its deepest point lies at 30 metres. The dam wall built in the 20th century has turned a marshy area into a bathing lake where you can enjoy refreshing swims in summer. The water of the lake feeds a hydroelectric power plant in the Val di Cembra. The lake is easily accessible by car, bus and bike.
