Lake Lagolo

Lake Lagolo is the smallest bathing lake of Trentino

This alpine lake at about 950 m a.s.l. is known for its tranquillity and the wonderful natural landscape it is surrounded by. According to a popular legend the lake was originally situated higher and was magically moved to a lower altitude covering the forest. The trees are still visible in the water which is believed to have therapeutic benefits.

The 1.5 km long, flat and easy itinerary leading around Lago di Lagolo is suitable for families with children and baby carriages. The route is equipped with boardwalks, wooden sculptures, a swing, a wonderful playground and callisthenics stations. In autumn, when the leaves turn brown, orange, red and yellow, the natural landscape is particularly enchanting. Those who would like to undertake a more challenging hike can try the "Senter de le Mule", a path with only 183 metres of elevation gain that can be completed in 1 hour and 20 minutes of walking. It is not suitable for baby carriages.

The 250-m long and 140-m wide lake is 7 metres deep. The equipped beach on its shores features a bar with tables indoors and outdoors and view of the lake, tables and beach umbrellas, a swing attached to a tree and a bench shaped like a frog tongue. At the rental point you can hire stand-up-paddles, inflatables and bikes and charge your e-bike. Sports lovers will enjoy the volleyball court or play football on the extensive meadow. The lake is only a 15-minute drive from the Viote del Bondone and is complete with a boardwalk and a springboard and is fed by springs and underwater seepage.
