Lake Santo, one of the Lakes of Lamar, is a quiet natural oasis in the Valle dei Laghi near Terlago. The 675 metre long and 150 metre wide lake with a maximum depth of 13.2 metres is larger than the nearby Lake Lamar. It formed following a landslide that split the pre-existing Lake Lamar into two parts. Although its beaches are less structured than those of Lake Lamar, they are equally beautiful. The surrounding forests are perfect for unforgettable walks, hikes, MTB tours and horseback rides. In winter the lake ices over and turns into a curling area. The rich flora and fauna living in and around the lake attract nature lovers and anglers. In the vicinity lie a car park and a mountain hut with restaurant.
Lake Santo is easily accessible by car or bus.
In 2026 the Lamar Lakes were awarded the important recognition "Bandiera Blu" for the excellent water quality and the particular attention dedicated to the environment and sustainable services.
