Dolomiti di Brenta Bike Stage 1: Dimaro - Monte Peller - Cles

The first stage leads us from the Val di Sole valley to the Val di Non valley, across the alpine pastures near the 2,320 m high Monte Peller with the highest point at the Rif. Peller mountain hut at 1,990 m asl

In the district of Carciato near Dimaro Folgarida we follow the signpost of the Dolomiti Brenta Bike Route “Expert” towards the Rif. Peller mountain hut. A light up and down through the forest at the southern valley side of the Val di Sole leads us to the surroundings of Malé and Terzolas. Here the ascent of the forest road, which proceeds up to the Rif. Peller, starts. We climb higher and higher and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view on the valley.

About 4 km before we reach the mountain hut, a steep section has to be managed. Here sometimes it’s better to wheel. At the Malga Clesera hut the forest path starts again, only few more metres in altitude have to be managed until our destination. At the Rif. Peller mountain hut we enjoy or deserved lunch and an impressive view on the natural scenery of the Monte Peller. And the following downhill ride to Cles is the perfect reward for our efforts.

First we drive across alpine meadows and then along the road at the slope, with fantastic view on the Val di Non, the Lago di Santa Giustina lake and the orchards of Cles.
