Vattaro

The village of Vattaro with its 1,200 inhabitants is the largest tourist destination in the municipality of Altopiano della Vigolana.

Vattaro is a welcoming locality which offers numerous leisure activities ranging from horse riding, nordic walking and mountain biking to tennis and volleyball. In this area you can undertake a hike around the whole Vigolana area on a 60 km long itinerary or walk along the theme paths dedicated to history, the five senses, taste and movements.

The locality also features ancient and historic residences like Palazzo Bortolazzi which houses some frescoes depicting the rural life by Erasmo Antonio Obermüller. Vattaro looks back on a century-long agricultural tradition exemplified by the famous "carradori" carters who sold wood, fruits and vegetables between Feltre and Trento.
