Tesero and its Cribs

From the 8th of December until Epiphany every year the event “Tesero and its cribs” takes place in the Val di Fiemme valley. The alleys, roads and courtyards are decorated with hand-made cribs which are also illuminated.

Starting point for the walk is the large crib on the main square, the Piazza Nuova of Tesero. It is a life-size crib which has already been placed here for more than 50 years at Christmas time. The figures are hand-carved and painted, they are dressed with the typical local clothes of the Trentino. Furthermore the event offers ancient crafts, exhibitions and popular performances.
