Our short walk begins along the "Strada de Pecé" in Moena near the roundabout above Lago di Soraga. We climb the steep ascent of Pontea de Mandra and after a short slope we reach the Strada del Térmen, a flat, panoramic road right above the valley. We head towards south to the hamlet of Someda.
In this small village composed of traditional houses, stands a 16th century church dedicated to the Saints Rochus, Sebastian and Fabian, as well as a museum devoted to the history of the Dolomite Front during World War 1. In the vicinity rises Forte di Someda, a defensive complex built by the Austro-Hungarian empire at the end of the 19th century. However, this impressive structure was actually never used during World War 1, due to it being technologically outdated.
The path leads across meadows and forests at the entrance to the valle di San Pellegrino until we arrive at the valley station of the Alpe di Lusia cable car and the "Malga Passarella" restaurant. We retrace our steps to return to our starting point in Moena.
