In the heart of Pergine Valsugana a Christmassy atmosphere can be enjoyed from November until January: the Pergine Christmas Market opens its doors
The legend says, that during Advent elves, fairies and dwarfs from the surrounding mountains came to Pergine, to offer Christmas decoration, sweets and toys for sale. According to this legend, the Christmas Market of Pergine owes its mascot, a little dwarf (canòpo).
Today the decorated market stalls can be found in the alleys of the historic centre of Pergine. They offer a large variety of culinary delights, crafts and ideas for presents. Also an interesting event programme must not be missed, among them are Christmassy workshops for children, processions and concerts. Something for the whole family!
