Getting there by train and bus

Rovereto and Trento, the two main cities of the province, are connected to the national and international train network.

It is also possible to reach the Trentino by means of public transport. In fact, almost all national and international trains stop in the cities of Trento and Rovereto. These two cities are well-connected to the provinces of Verona, Venice, Milan and Rome, as well as Munic in Germany and Innsbruck in Austria. Two local railways start from Trento and run across the Val di Non/Val di Sole as well as the Valsugana.

Below some indications for reaching the Trentino by train:

From south:
Trento and Rovereto can easily be reached from Milan, Venice, Verona and Rome. From Venice it is also possible to reach Trento, thanks to the railway line of the Valsugana. For further information visit Trenitalia

From north:
Trento can also be reached from Innsbruck or Munich: DB Bahn e ÖBB.

Beside the railway network, the Trentino also offers a well-connected urban transport system which connects various places in the province. For detailed information visit Trentino Trasporti

Also the private long-distance bus company “Flixbus” stops at various towns in the Trentino.

For skiers: It is possible to reach the Folgarida and Marilleva skiing areas by train. A particular transport system connects the centre of the Val di Sole to the skiing area Madonna di Campiglio Val di Sole Val Rendena within 12 minutes only.
