Dorsino lies on a morainic terrace formed by the Sarca stream at the entrance to the Val d'Ambiez and the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park.

The most interesting attractions include the S. Giorgio church which houses some frescoes by C. Baschenis and the ancient Assunta church in the nearby village of Tavodo.
