The origins of Zambana date back to when it used to serve as a transit station on the riverbanks of the Adige. In 1955 it was completely destroyed by a landslide before being rebuilt in the centre of the Val d'Adige, near Lavis.
The new village is characterised by fruit orchards and especially by white asparagus production which is undoubtedly the feather in its cap. The white asparagus of Zambana is also celebrated during feasts and country festivals. This high quality product is used in many local dishes - a treat for your palate!
