Description
A new festival has been launched in the heart of the village of Lundo, transforming the town into an open-air stage.
The Street Theatre Festival invites visitors to enjoy a blend of art, landscape, and community.
This inaugural edition brings together renowned international companies, presenting a programme of performances staged across various locations.
Set among narrow lanes, squares, and scenic spots, the performances take place naturally, guiding spectators on a journey through the village.
Here, puppetry becomes a universal language, engaging adults and children, residents and visitors alike, in a joyful yet intimate atmosphere.
Alongside the outdoor performances, the festival is centred in a theatre recently reopened to the community—a vibrant venue that once again welcomes artists and audiences, serving as a hub for connection and cultural exchange.
The artistic directors from the "Di Filippo Marionette" company, together with the Lundo Pro Loco "Sùbit Fat", have created a programme that combines quality, artistic research, and accessibility, fostering a dialogue between tradition and modern art.
The festival is more than just an event; it is an invitation to slow down, explore the area, and experience the village from within.
This initiative weaves together culture, tourism, and community, bringing new energy and opportunities for the future.
The project has also been recognised at a national level: for this year's edition, the festival won a grant from the National Single Fund for Tourism (FUNT), confirming its value in promoting local areas and developing sustainable tourism.
