The small village of Lundo is located at 764 m asl. and has about 135 inhabitants. The village is very popular with guests seeking quiet but also active holidaymakers. It is situated in the so-called Giudicarie Esteriori, in the heart of the fantastic Alps of the Trentino.
Not so very long ago, archaeological findings from the late antiquity have been made at the Monte di San Martino mountain. Thanks to the important rescue of the antique gems remains of an impressive fortress have been uncovered at the excavation site which probably date back to the Carolingians or Langobards.
