Faedo is a small hamlet overlooking the Piana Rotaliana. The village with its porticos, alleys and panoramic spots becomes the scene of a spectacular life-sized crib with 80 life-sized statues wearing the traditional clothing from the Birth of Jesus Christ. These figures are displayed in the most beautiful angles of the village and depict people who are practising the professions of that time period.
A walk through the historic centre of Faedo is a unique experience especially in the evening. The highlight of this event however, is for sure the traditional "Canta della Stella", the star carols. Traditionally, this performance takes place after 5 January when the Three Wise Men and their parade wind through the village and delight locals and tourists with their beautifully performed traditional Christmas carols.
