Tesero and its Cribs

The exhibition takes place every year from 8 December to 6 January in Tesero in the Val di Fiemme. During the event "Tesero e i suoi presepi" an exhibition itinerary in the streets, alleys and courtyards of the historic centre displays marvellous handmade cribs. These artistic masterpieces are illuminated in the late afternoon and evening to give this event an even more unique flair.

The path starts in Piazza Nuova where the big crib stands. This life-sized crib has been set up in this square for more than 50 years. The coloured, wooden sculptures are dressed with the traditional clothing of Trentino's villages. Besides this itinerary the event also organises reenactments of old professions, as well as folklore performances and exhibitions.
