The snowshoe itinerary below the Corno Nero offers wonderful panoramic views ranging from the Brenta Dolomites to the Lagorai chain

We drive along the road from Cavalese to the Passo di Lavazé to reach Passo Oclini (2,000 m a.s.l.), our starting point. From Lavazè we tackle a short ascent to passo Oclini. We park at the car park of the small skiing area and after a coffee break at the Corno Nero hotel we wear our snowshoes and are ready for take off.
The path (signpost "Malga Cugola/Kugelalm") crosses the ski slope before entering the dense forest surrounding Corno Nero. We slowly walk between the trees and enjoy the quietness of nature. To our right we have a view of the villages of Redagno and Aldino, the deep Valle dell'Adige and the Brenta Dolomites. Having reached the pass, we descend towards Malga Cugola Alta and enjoy the view of the Val di Fiemme with the impressive Lagorai mountain range which opens up in front of us. We are now in a wonderful, sunny place right in front of the huts of the malga (closed in winter) where we stop for a break before returning to our starting point.
Instead of retracing our steps we descend towards the Isi Hütte hut at 1,853 m a.s.l. where also the ski piste ends. From here we follow the slightly uphill path back to Passo Oclini.
Please note: At the Sci Rentasport Vuerich Lavazè you can rent snowshoes. We recommend checking on their opening hours beforehand (Phone: + 39 0462 341367).
