Our snowshoe hike to Chalet Paradiso starts near the Lagorai skiing area on Passo Brocon

The starting point of today's snowshoe excursion is the Chalet Heidi at the car park of the Lagorai Skiing Area near the Passo Brocon (1,616 m a.s.l.). The first kilometre of the route runs along a road descending to Castello Tesino and Casa Saronnese. Now we put on our snowshoes and initially follow a forest path which starts right in front of the Casa Saronnese.
We keep walking along this path until we arrive at the peak of Monte Agaro. The elevation gain of this ascent is about 330 metres as we start at an altitude of 1,600 m a.s.l. and arrive at the Chalet Paradiso at 1,900 m a.s.l. The path almost entirely winds across the forest, except for the final section which delights us with a spectacular view of the surrounding peaks of the Lagorai mountain chain, the Brenta Dolomites and the Vette Feltrine. The spectacular view is even more amazing thanks to the fog which covers the peaks and the contrast to the blue sky. After a well-deserved break at the Chalet we descend along the same path. Alternatively you can use the chairlift of the skiing area to return to the car park near the Chalet Heidi hut.
