Snow-shoe hike to Mt Agaro

Near the Lagorai skiing area, on Passo Brocon, the path for our snow-shoe hike to the Chalet Paradiso starts

Starting point of our snow shoe hike is the Chalet Heidi at the parking space of the Lagorai Skiing Area, near the Passo Brocon (1,616 m asl.). We follow the path downhill to Castello Tesino until the house “Casa Saronnese”. There we put on our snow shoes and follow the forest path which starts in front of the “Casa Saronnese”.

We stay on this path until we reach the summit of the Monte Agaro mountain. We have to manage about 330 m in altitude, starting at 1.600 m asl. up to 1.900 m asl. (Chalet Paradiso). Almost until the summit, the forest accompanies us, only the last section of the tour offers a spectacular view on the surrounding Lagorai mountain chain, the Brenta Dolomites and the summits of the Vette Feltrine. The contrast between the fog beneath the peaks and the blue sky is really impressive. After a rest at the chalet we walk back the same way. An alternative way is to take the chair lift of the skiing area down to the parking space at the Chalet Heidi, like this you come back to our starting point without any further efforts.
