Hikers in the Val di Sole should definitely not miss the Malghe di Bolentina from where they can enjoy a spectacular view of the entire valley

The starting point of our winter hike is the village of Bolentina. We drive along the state road of the Val di Sole and leave it at Malé where we take the provincial road towards Montes-Bolentina. We recommend parking in the village of Bolentina.
In Bolentina we walk towards Piazza Merendaia, a square you can reach either by following an asphalt road or path no. 119B. From there we take path no. 119 to the Bivacco Marinelli hut. After Malghetta Mas de la Cros we branch off towards Malga Bolentina Alta, the destination of our hike, where we stop to enjoy the fascinating panoramic view.
For our return we take an unmarked but still well recognisable path towards Malga Bolentina Bassa which is situated in the dense forest of the Val di Rabbi. From there we take a forest road back to Bolentina, the starting point of this marvellous mountain hike.
Please note: as there are no refreshment points along the path, we recommend taking provisions with you!
