The Augustinian monastery and the Baroque church are witnesses of an animated past, as San Michele all'Adige was the centre of the struggle for power between the Counts of Tyrol and the Arch bishops of Trento.
Inside the monastery is now the METS - Museo etnografico trentino San Michele, where you can discover the ancient traditions of Trentino in an extensive exhibition.
The Agrarian Institute of San Michele all'Adige and the Technical Wood Institute are, however, dedicated to agricultural success and belong to the most renowned of this field.
