The Augustinian monastery and the Baroque church are witnesses of an animated past, as San Michele all'Adige was the centre of the struggle for power between the Counts of Tyrol and the Arch bishops of Trento.
In the village there is also the well-liked METS - Museum of Uses and Customs of the Trentino people that you absolutely have to visit, as it provides a great overview on traditions of the Trentino.
The Agrarian Institute of San Michele all'Adige and the Technical Wood Institute are, however, dedicated to agricultural success and belong to the most renowned of this field.
