Folgarida, a modern locality immersed in a verdant landscape and hamlet of the municipality of Dimaro Folgarida, is only 9 km away from Madonna di Campiglio. Situated at an altitude of 1,270 m a.s.l., it is an ideal destination for outdoor and winter sports lovers, as well as for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing place in the mountains. The Folgarida-Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo ski areas feature 153 km of slopes and offer a unique skiing-experience in the spectacular Brenta Dolomites and the majestic Ortles-Cevedale group.
However, skiing is not the only sport that can be practised here: in fact, in the local ice stadium you can enjoy ice skating or play broomball with your friends and loved ones. On various evenings, the congress centre "Alla Sosta dell'Imperatore" of Folgarida organises exhibitions, conferences, cultural events and movie evenings for everyone. Otherwise, you can spend your evenings in the restaurants and bars of Madonna di Campiglio, an easily reachable and well-known winter holiday resort in the Alps. Folgarida also boasts numerous nordic walking and trekking itineraries for nature lovers. Adventure seekers can try different water sports on the Noce river.
The fascinating landscape surrounding Folgarida is characterised by large, cultivated fields, pastures, majestic mountains and an untouched nature. The village is composed of two different areas: Folgarida Alta from where you have a fabulous view of the Dolomites and Folgarida Bassa, immersed in the stunning landscape of the Val di Sole.
