Daone is situated at the entrance to the eponymous valley in a rather isolated area where numerous chestnut trees thrive. The Val di Daone leads to the Val di Fumo and to the Adamello group. The whole area is characterised by wonderful, natural landscapes with malghe and bodies of water.
Nature and sports lovers are spoilt for choice: memorable hikes in the Adamello Brenta nature park are particularly popular in summer, whereas in winter the area turns into an ice climber's paradise.
The St. Bartholomeus church was built around 1,000 AD and is an interesting church you shouldn't miss. In the 14th century the colonnade of this church was used for community assemblies. In Piazza del Municipio you can admire a huge silver fir trunk from Malga Boazzo which was brought here in 1955.
