Spera

The village of Spera on the southern slope of the Lagorai chain offers a stunning panoramic view of the entire Valsugana

Situated at an altitude of 557 m, Spera is home to about 600 inhabitants and the perfect place for a relaxing holiday in nature. The village is well-known for its chestnut groves and wood processing and its favourable position makes it perfect for growing apples, pears and wild berries, as well as honey production.

Despite being a small village, Spera boasts some interesting buildings of artistic value with a unique architecture. Monuments you should visit include the ancient St. Apollonia's church of the 14th century, the frescoes of the Assumption of Mary church and the village of Primalunetta with the St. Bartholomew's chapel. Furthermore you can enjoy the local nature by undertaking walks among the secular chestnut groves and along the "Trodo dei Salti" path which leads past the cascate "De Cogno" waterfalls.
