Description

Between January and March, the national championships of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia take place at the Aloch Ski Stadium.

Among the most technical and challenging slopes in the Dolomites, the Aloch Ski Stadium in Pozza di Fassa is an international benchmark for high-level training and competitions. Each year, it hosts the men's slalom European Cup, and the Italian national team trains here as part of the 'Piste Azzurre' (Blue Slopes) project, alongside numerous foreign teams and the prestigious Apex 2100 International Ski Academy, one of the world's most advanced institutions for developing young talent.

This winter, in the Olympic year, the SKILV Cup Val di Fassa (formerly the Baltic Cup) returns to this setting of sporting excellence. It is a series of races that brings hundreds of athletes to the slopes of Pozza for the national championships of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, including junior categories. This unique event takes place far from the Baltic plains, thanks to the quality of the course and the well-established organisation in Val di Fassa. A month of intense races, between January and March, transforms the Aloch into a true laboratory of technique and speed. The Aloch Ski Stadium is an arena reserved exclusively for training professional teams and ski clubs, closed to the public and designed to enhance pure technique. With a vertical drop of 220 metres and an average gradient of 27% (maximum 49%), it represents one of the most selective courses in the Dolomites: a test that demands precision, strength, and control – essential qualities for those aspiring to compete on the major FIS circuits.
