San Giovanni di Fassa - Sèn Jan

The municipality of San Giovanni di Fassa, Sèn Jan in Ladin, is situated at 1,380 m a.s.l. and includes the hamlets of Vigo di Fassa (Vich), Pozza di Fassa (Poza), Pera di Fassa, Costa, Larzonei (Larcionè), Monzon (Muncion), Passo di Costalunga (Mont de Vich), Ronch, San Giovanni (Sèn Jan), Tamion, Vallonga (Valongia). The administrative centre is in Pozza di Fassa. The municipality San Giovanni di Fassa - Sèn Jan was founded on 1 January 2018 after the merger of the until then independent municipalities of Vigo and Pozza di Fassa. It has about 3,635 inhabitants. The hamlet of Costa fascinates visitors with its wash houses and old houses. Larzonei has preserved its traditional architecture to this day. The covered fountain in the village is the starting point of the path to Tamion.
