The Latemar Montagnanimata (Montagnanimata is Italian and means "animated mountain") in the Val di Fiemme below the Latemar is easily reachable by the Predazzo-Gardonè lift from Predazzo. The forest is crossed by three circular theme paths "The Dragon Forest", "The Absent-Minded Shepherd" and the "Geotrail Dos Capèl" where imaginary characters, dragons and shepherds come to life through different games. The Dragon Forest is suitable for baby carriages and delights you with stunning views of the Dolomites. Here, children can have fun with fantastic installations and look for the dragons' footprints. The Absent-Minded Shepherd is a 1.5 km long, family-friendly path, however, some spots are inaccessible to baby carriages. It is therefore recommended to use a baby carrier for infants and toddlers. The Geotrail Dos Capèl is a 3.5-km long moderately difficult walk for children. Along this itinerary, children can wear gloves, face masks and use a hand lens to look for fossils - just like real geologists. The Latemar Montagnanimata also includes the Alpine Coaster Gardoné, a rollercoaster ride, and the Tubby slope, a thrilling descent on a rubber boat. The playground "Il Regno dei Draghi" offers numerous outdoor activities, as well as a kindergarten for children.
The Dragon Forest and the playground are open also in winter. During the cold season the centre also features a 500-metre long sledge run**, as well as a sledge and bob rental.
