Sarnacli Mountain Park in Andalo
The Sarnacli Mountain Park in Andalo hosts a sensory route with 13 installations dedicated to animals, mountains, colours and scents of the Brenta Dolomites. Besides the traditional playground stations, children can also try the tactile itinerary which involves walking barefoot on stones, bark and pieces of wood. Further along the path there are a brown bear to steer, a huge wooden memory where they can discover and memorise the animals and plants living here and climbing structures. Of course there are also many other interactive games like the amphitheatre of sounds, a miniature reproduction of the rifugio Pedrotti hut and a slide on a scree field very similar to that in front of the rifugio Croz dell'Altissimo hut. The experience ends with stations where children need to smell and recognise different perfumes and scents of the wood and fill in the so-called crucibosco, a crossword puzzle on the forest which allows them to find the treasure of the forest.
The area also features several hiking paths suitable for baby carriages.
Parco delle MUSE in Trento
Right in front of the science museum in Trento extends a 5-hectar wide park with different attractions including slides, swings, a zip wire, cycling and rollerblade itineraries, water courses, boardwalks, benches, shady areas, a garden with sound games, an educational vegetable garden, an alpine playground and a geological park.
Parco di Melta
The parco di Melta north of Trento was organised on different levels on an area of 11 hectares. Here, children will enjoy playing on boardwalks, bridges and paths. The parco dei sassolini (literally stone park) features a metal climbing structure, an area dedicated to wood with a slide, a swing, a hut and wooden games, as well as a park with climbing structures in the surroundings. The park also includes an extensive area with benches and tables and many trees, a climbing pyramid, huts with slides and swings. It is crossed by unpaved paths suitable for baby carriages, wheelchairs and rollerblades and a cycle path. The verdant area near the brook features a non-bathing lake where different duck species live.
Parco di Mattarello
This huge verdant area in Mattarello is composed of games in the shadow, a brook, a small lake, an art itinerary with stone statues, extensive meadows, benches, a basketball field and toilets. The area is equipped with swings, hill slides, climbing walls, a Tibetan bridge, tennis courts and football pitches, a bocce court, ping pong tables, calisthenics installations and indoor basket and volleyball courts. In the immediate vicinity starts a cultural route with artworks by Alberto Blasi. The park also features attended, barrier-free toilets and a changing table.
Parco di Garniga Terme
This park on the Monte Bondone is accessible in a 30-minute drive from the city of Trento and a 20-minute drive from the Viote del Bondone and has swings, slides, ropes, climbing walls, a small pond, tables and benches and a covered bocce court. Here you can undertake walks in the forests and on the surrounding meadows or mountain tours to the Piana delle Viote at 1,562 m a.s.l.
Parco giochi delle Viote
The installations of this playground were built only with natural materials and include two long slides with bends, climbing and balance installations, an Archimedes screw and water, suspended huts, Tibetan bridges, rope routes and a tepee. The park at 1,540 m a.s.l. is surrounded by trees and easily accessible from Trento in a 45-minute drive.
Parco delle Terme di Comano
The park of the thermal baths Terme di Comano stretches over a surface of 14 hectares and comprises different attractions, such as a sensory route with 11 stations made of stones, bark, trunks and other materials. In the vicinity lie a pond with fish and a sports centre. The playground features a huge castle, traditional and spiral-shaped slides, swings, a climbing structure and boardwalks. The second playing area has wooden structures, balance games, swings, a hut with a slide and a wooden ramp with a xylophone which children can use to compose their own symphonies.
