From the parking space in the village of Giazzera, we follow the forested road (strictly speaking the signpost 101 SAT, in the direction of the Rifugio Lancia. This mountain hut is also open in winter. After having reached the village of Pozza Rionda at 1,660 m asl, take the trail into the forest (102/A). Follow this path, called "Sentiero delle Zie", across the forest towards east.
When you reach the back of the mountain, a rather flat part follows a steep ascent. Then you proceed the way up across a little valley. When you reach the fork to the Rifugio Lancia mountain hut, follow this signpost til you reach the mountain refuge. Stop for a break at this Rifugio (1,825 m). For your way back, take the same route as for the ascent.
