The popular Alpe Lusia skiing area is also a well-known panoramic viewpoint in the Paneveggio natural park between the Fiemme and Fassa valleys

Besides being a paradise for skiers, the Alpe Lusia is also a beautiful hiking area in the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park which attracts mountain lovers all year round. From the highest spots of the area you can admire the Lagorai mountain chain, the Latemar and the famous Pale di San Martino Group. The Alpe Lusia is accessible on foot or by cable car.
We drive to our starting point from Predazzo in the Val di Fiemme where we branch off towards Passo Rolle and a few kilometres after the village of Bellamonte we turn left and continue until we reach the extensive car park of malga El Zirmo (Bellamonte / Castellir).
From the car park we ascend the forest path across the nature park on the right bank of Rio Canvere and right of the Alpe Lusia skiing area. After a 1.5 hour walk we reach path no. 623 where we turn left and follow the signs to Passo Lusia.
