Tenno

The origins of Tenno’s rich and entrenched history date back to the Bronze Age

The village of Tenno is composed of the three hamlets of Colgona-Gavazzo, Pranzo and Ville del Monte. The latter consists of four small villages including Canale di Tenno which figures among the most beautiful hamlets of Italy (Borghi più belli d'Italia).

The Ecomuseo della Judicaria "dalle Dolomiti al Garda" is managed by six municipalities including Tenno, where the northernmost olive groves of Europe, vineyards and the chestnuts of Pranzo thrive. The natural terraces with their stone walls were built by farmers with the aim of gaining more agricultural area.

The Parco delle arti e dei mestieri di Canale, a park dedicated to art and ancient professions in Canale, is a typically fortified, architectural gem. If you are into art, we recommend visiting the Casa degli Artisti "Giacomo Vittone" which promotes cultural initiatives and hosts different artists with their artworks.
