Carisolo

The popular holiday resort of Carisolo is situated at 800 m a.s.l. near Pinzolo at the entrance to the Val di Genova and the Valle di Campiglio, at the foot of the southern slopes of the Cima Lancia (2,318 m a.s.l.)

The small but fascinating Santo Stefano church near the village of Antica Vetreria di Carisolo was first mentioned in the 12th century. Its external wall is decorated with a fresco by Simone De Baschenis (12th century).

The skiing area stretches from the Doss del Sabion near Carisolo and Pinzolo via Madonna di Campiglio to the Campo Carlo Magno which is connected to Marilleva and Folgarida in the Val di Sole.

Its sunny position, altitude and the surrounding landscape make Carisolo an excellent destination for relaxing holidays in nature.

The village benefits from several sports centres where you can practise your favourite sport in every season of the year: from alpine skiing in the ski areas of Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio to tennis, football, recreational fishing and mountain bike.

Don't miss the several hiking paths in the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park. The stunning Val di Genova with the Nardis waterfalls covers the main part of the municipality. Culture enthusiasts should visit the San Nicolò parish church and the small but equally fascinating Santo Stefano church. On the walls of some houses you can admire paintings of different Saints.
