Massimeno is a typical alpine village on a terrace at 860 m a.s.l. in the heart of the Alta Val Rendena. This locality is still firmly anchored in its ancient traditions. Besides being the smallest municipality of Trentino, it is also the only village of the Val Rendena not to be located along the course of the Sarca stream but in an extensive area from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the valley and the Adamello-Presanella group.
Despite the village being relatively small, the municipal area is quite extensive and includes wide, high alpine areas. Massimeno also boasts numerous high-altitude hiking and walking paths of various difficulty levels.
