Overlooked by the Castello di Noarna, the trials of accused witches took place in this ancient building between the 17th and 18th century.
Since more than ten years however, these terrible episodes were transformed into a seasonal festival dedicated to women, in which the whole community participates. The "Calendimaggio" or Cantar Maggio in Nogaredo is organised every year between 30th April and 1st May.
Besides the castle also the historic Palazzo Lodron surrounded by extensive meadows is worth visiting. In Nogaredo visitors can undertake walks, hikes or mountain bike tours on the numerous paths and slopes.
