Breguzzo

Situated among verdant meadows and fields, the village of Breguzzo is an ideal starting point for trekking tours and hikes

Breguzzo has fewer than 600 inhabitants and is part of the municipality of Sella Giudicarie. The village extends on an altitude of 800 m a.s.l. at the foot of the 2,139 m high Monte Cengledino north of the watershed of the Chiese and the Sarca rivers.

Immersed in a verdant landscape, the village of Breguzzo is an ideal starting point for pleasant walks in the surroundings or along the road leading through the Valle di Breguzzo. This enchanting alpine valley crossed by the Arnò stream is an interesting place for nature lovers. The valle di Breguzzo is a protected area within the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, and is overlooked by the 3,001 m high Cima Cop di Breguzzo on the ridge of the Carè Alto.

The small village of the "Busa di Tione" has become a popular tourist destination with accommodation facilities and sports centres, as well as an ideal place for people seeking health and wellness stays. The 18th century parish church dedicated to St. Andrew was decorated with a monumental fresco of the Last Judgement by Adolfo Mattielli.
