Pergine Christmas Market

Description

The Christmas market in Pergine Valsugana turns into a big festival celebrating social interaction through traditions, music and culture in the heart of Pergine Valsugana. The many initiatives will allow you to experience the town centre in a lively atmosphere with entertainment, creative workshops and food and wine experiences.

The 2025 edition has chosen “Connections” as its theme: an invitation to build authentic bonds between people, places, flavours and emotions. Every encounter, every smile, and every activity at the festival becomes part of the experience.

A festival made of people, experiences and connections.
A winter to experience, share and remember.

8–9 NOVEMBER
OPENING FESTIVAL – The debut of Winter Harmonies
The journey into the enchanted atmosphere of Winter Harmonies begins on the weekend of 8 and 9 November with the Opening Festival, the official debut in Piazza Gavazzi. At 4.30 pm, the opening ceremony kicks off with the Pergine Band, followed by DJ sets and live concerts with Blue Feeling Jazz Trio, Radiottanta and Kalisto & Friends. Itinerant music, special menus in the bars and restaurants and a festive atmosphere envelop the town centre, officially launching the festival.

14–15–16 NOVEMBER
PERGINE AND ITS DISTRICTS – The districts and their Pergine
The weekend of 14, 15 and 16 November is dedicated to “Pergine and its districts”, with events spread across local communities: shows, meetings, gastronomic traditions and music enliven the squares of the area. On Saturday, the Festa delle Frazioni (Districts Festival) offers tastings and entertainment, with a concert by the Sonics Quartet and a performance by the group I Vazanicchi. On Sunday, the festivities continue with jazz music, itinerant shows and a collective toast in Piazza Fruet to celebrate the shared identity of an enlarged and participatory Pergine.

21–22–23 NOVEMBER
CONNECTIONS – The heart of the festival
At the heart of the festival, the weekend of 21, 22 and 23 November revolves around the theme of the year with “Connections”, an invitation to reflect and meet through installations, workshops, themed stands and live shows in the squares of the city centre. Saturday resonates with the voices of the “Signore delle Cime” Alpine Women's Choir, the atmospheres of the Blue Feeling Jazz Trio and the music of Euphonia. Sunday closes with the moving theatre show ‘La Lettera’ and itinerant musical performances that animate the village with lightness and poetry.

28–29–30 NOVEMBER
“ONCE UPON A TIME…” – Festival of traditional fairy tales and stories
From 28 to 30 November, Pergine will be transformed into a fairy-tale town, with traditional stories, creative workshops, animated readings and magical shows for young and old alike. On Saturday 29 November, the streets of the town centre will host the evocative parade of the Perchten, legendary figures from Alpine tradition who will animate the Christmas Market with a unique and engaging show. On Sunday 30 November, it will be the turn of ‘I doni delle fate’ (The Gifts of the Fairies), an itinerant show by Don’t Stop Moving, which will take the audience on a journey through dance, lights and enchanted atmospheres. Throughout the weekend, the Athena Bookshop, the Municipal Library, Astrid Nova Art Studio and Castel Pergine will offer meetings, readings and activities for all ages, transforming the city into a place where fantasy and tradition come together to create a dream weekend.

5–6–7–8 DECEMBER
FESTIVAL OF WISHES – Magic, lights and dreams
Over the long weekend of 5, 6, 7 and 8 December, the Festival of Wishes brings with it an explosion of lights, magic and hope. On Friday at 5 p.m., the City Theatre opens its doors to the musical 44 Cats, for a start full of rhythm and joy. On Saturday, the Wall of Wishes in Via Roma and the exhibition Path of Emotions, which takes visitors on a unique sensory journey, will be unveiled. Fashion takes centre stage with the Winter Sports Style fashion show, followed by the live energy of Ostello California. On Sunday, local flavours take centre stage with the Taste Challenge, the opening of the traditional nativity scene and a concert by Sugar Project. On Monday 8 December, the magic continues with the puppet show Truffaldino and the Spirit of Christmas, followed by the amazing show by illusionist Luca Bono: a finale that will remain in your heart.

12–13–14 DECEMBER
SAINT LUCY – Tradition and solidarity
The weekend of 12, 13 and 14 December is the sweetest and most authentic, with Saint Lucy taking centre stage amid tradition and solidarity. Friday celebrates the "Strozegha di Santa Lucia" and the Smooking Green concert. Saturday smells of baking and warmth with biscuit workshops (at Castel Pergine), the Sweet Bread Festival and musical performances. On Sunday, the Sweet Bread Breakfast opens the day, followed by fresh pasta workshops (at Castel Pergine), the Great Solidarity Auction and shows designed for the whole family.

19–20–21–22–23–24 DECEMBER
PERGINE, THE ENCHANTED CITY – The grand finale
From 19 to 24 December, Pergine becomes the Enchanted City, a succession of emotions that culminate on Christmas Eve. Parades on stilts, dance and music shows take over every corner of the town centre. On Saturday, Harmonies and Dreams and the Punto Gazz concert create the perfect atmosphere. On Sunday, children chase the magic with the ‘In the Footsteps of Father Christmas’, while the evening comes alive with the Xmas Dance Night in Fruet Square. In the following days, there is music with Rock'n Roll Xmas and Euphonia, light installations with the Luminous Harmonies and a big final party on 24 December to welcome the most eagerly awaited night of the year together.

WEDNESDAY 31 DECEMBER
NEW YEAR'S EVE IN THE SQUARE
Finally, on 31 December, the party continues with New Year's Eve in the Square: live music with the rousing band Die Schweinhaxen, a collective toast and gastronomic specialities to welcome in the new year in the heart of Pergine, amid lights, warmth and a great desire to be together.
