Valsugana cycle track: Levico - Borgo - Primolano

From Lake Caldonazzo and Levico Terme via Borgo Valsugana to Grigno, the cycle track through the Valsugana is pleasure in a varied landscape.

In Pergine, more precisely in the village of Valcanover at Lake Caldonazzo, the cycle track through the Valsugana starts. Along the lakeside, we cycle first to Calceranica al Lago and then, with short tracks on the country road, further on to Caldonazzo. Traversing the centre we proceed on farm roads through the fruit orchards at Levico Terme. The main route does not lead to the centre of the famous spa town, but there is a bike path connection that directly leads to the centre. The primary route of the cycle path, however, proceeds in the valley floor up to the level of Novaledo, where the trail continues on the south side of the valley further on towards east. The bike path leads to the centre of the picturesque town of Borgo Valsugana, characterised by Venetian architecture.

We proceed on the Brenta riverside, where the meadows along the river alternate with forested areas and cart tracks. A special natural highlight are the little waterfalls and grottos of Bigonda at Selva di Grigno. On Trentino territory, the cycle track proceeds to Tezze in the south of Grigno, where the Veneto region starts. The Valsugana cycle track, which is part of the Claudia Augusta cycle route from Augsburg to Venice, of course proceeds via Primolano to Feltre. If you would like to return to Levico, Pergine or Trento from Tezze di Grigno, you can take the Valsugana train with bike transport service (as long as there is enough space). In summer months, there are several separate train compartments for bicycle transport.

Bike & train: regional trains with bicycle transport (limited spaces) parallels the railway line Trento - Venice (Valsugana train).
