The Tour of the Alps, a multi-stage cycling race through Trentino, South Tyrol and Tyrol, takes place every year in April
The Tour of the Alps is a multi-stage cycling race for men which leads through the stunningly beautiful landscape of the Euregio area composed of the provinces of Trentino (Italy), South Tyrol (Italy) and Tyrol (Austria). Since 2020 this race has been part of the UCI Pro Series.
The Tour of the Alps (known as Giro del Trentino until 2016) was first organised in 1979 and was completed by several national and international pro cyclists who also won more prestigious competitions.
The race became popular thanks to great cyclists like Francesco Moser, Gilberto Simoni, Ivan Basso and Damiano Cunego. The winners can get the following jerseys: green jersey (winner of the overall time ranking), blue jersey (winner of the overall mountain ranking), red jersey (winner of the overall point ranking) and white jersey (winner of the overall youth ranking)
2026 edition: 20 - 24 April
