Malga Pozze is situated on a wonderful high plateau from where you can admire the majestic Brenta Dolomites and the unique beauty of the closer Presanella group with the eponymous glacier. We drive to our starting point and branch off the Strada Statale of the Val di Sole between the villages of Mezzana and Pellizzano where we proceed towards the marvellous villages of Menas and Ortisè. Once in Ortisè we take the road to Malga Stabli where we park at the car park.
From Malga Stabli we descend along the road we drove along before for a few hundred metres until we take the forest road to Malga Pozze which branches off to the right. We follow the easily understandable signposts until we arrive at our final destination.
The itinerary is truly beautiful and characterised by a great variety: here you can admire secular forests as well as an extensive mountain pasture with excellent panoramic views. On our return we initially follow the path to Malga Vallenaia (which is marked but not numbered) and then the one to Malga Stabli.
Please note: Along the entire itinerary there are no refreshment points so we advise you to bring packed lunch with you. Otherwise you could stop for your lunch break at the small, family-run mountain hut at the car park which prepares typical local dishes.
