Celledizzo

Not far from Cogolo di Pejo, Celledizzo is located at the foot of the Ortles-Cevedale Group

At about 1,200 m a.s.l. and 1 km south of Cogolo, the main village of the Valle di Pejo valley, Celledizzo with its 350 inhabitants is located. Surrounded by meadows the village is easily reachable, also the cycle path, which connects the Valle di Pejo valley with the Val di Sole valley is nearby.

At the church dedicated to the Saints Fabian and Sebastian the forest road towards the Malga Borche and Malga Levi mountain huts starts, there a path proceeds further into the Val di Rabbi. Thanks to its central position the excursion destinations in the Valle di Pejo, Val di Sole and at the Tonale are easily accessible.

Celledizzo is also home to the Ethnographic Wood Museum, housed in an old Venetian sawmill. About an hour and a half's walk from the village, near the Malga Borche, is the Mountain Farmers' Museum, housed in an old, restored hut dating back to 1700. The museums are part of the "Piccolo Mondo Alpino" Ecomuseum of the Val di Peio.
