Brentonico lies in the southern part of Trentino and comprises the villages of
Castione, Cazzano, Crosano, Sorne, Corné, Festa, Fontechel, Prada, Saccone, San Giacomo, San Valentino and Polsa. The high plateau of Brentonico, a wonderful place in nature, is only 16 km from the city of Rovereto. Thanks to its high altitude, this area, from where you can spot Lake Garda, boasts amazing panoramic views of the Dolomites and the Pianura Padana. Since the 16th century the altopiano di Brentonico has been known for its pre-glacial flora.
The numerous itineraries on this high plateau lead to different artistic and war monuments, including different churches and a 16th century crypt. The agritourisms and malghe on the altopiano del Brentonico incorporates the area's alpine soul. Its accommodation facilities and ski lifts of the Brentonico Ski area start from the highest villages, that is, San Valentino, Polsa and San Giacomo (1,200-1,330 m a.s.l.).
