Brez

Located on the right side of the Valle della Novella valley, Brez offers several impressive sites for those who are interested in culture

Located in the northern part of the Val di Non, this old and quiet village in the municipality of Novella is divided into two districts: Brez and Rivo, established by the inhabitants of the villages Arsio, Traversara, Carnalez and Salobbi.

At Rivo there are several worthwhile buildings such as the miners' monument established by the local artist Stefano Zuech in 1932. Moreover there are two mansions: Casa de Avancini dating back to the year 1697 AD with its rectangular tower and precious sundial as well as Casa Ruffini with the portal and the emblem of the Ruffini family.

Between Brez and Arsio there is a little Gothic church dating back to the 13th century, which is dedicated to S. Florian and was rebuilt in 1517. And also at Arsio there are two great mansions dating back to the 16th century: Casa Corazzi and San Giovanni Castle.
