The municipality of Fierozzo (Vlarotz in Mòcheno) is composed of the two hamlets of San Felice and San Francesco and overlooked by the more than 2,000 m high Fravòrt and Gronlàit peaks. The Valle dei Mòcheni is well-known for the "mòcheno", an ancient language originating from German which is now protected by the Istituto Culturale Mòcheno.
Fierozzo is a wonderful holiday destination all year round. In summer you can undertake beautiful hikes or mountain bike tours in the mountains. The hike from San Francesco to Monte Gronlàit runs along meadows and forests and past ancient, but still entirely preserved farms. In winter Fierozzo is an ideal starting point for ski mountaineering tours.
Foodies will definitely appreciate the local trattorie and agritourisms. From Prati Imperiali it is possible to reach the wonderful locality of Valcava.
