Bieno

The historic village of Bieno is located at the foot of the Rava mountain range and is considered to be the gate to the Valsugana valley

The small but mighty village of Bieno is considered to be the gate to the Valsugana valley, even if from a geographical point of view it belongs to the valley basin of Tesino. The village is located in great position, surrounded by forests, mountains and little lakes and is thus ideal for spending holidays hand in hand with nature. For this reason Bieno is also an ideal starting point for hikes and mountain tours in the Rava and Ravetta mountain range.

The history of Bieno is closely connected with the history of wayfaring men. Moreover the village is famous for its stonemasons who mineed granite from the quarries of Rava. Other places of interest you have to visit are the S. Biagio church, the Pison Waterfall and the century-old lime trees growing close to the Weiss farm.
