Of course also dogs enjoy a refreshing swim in Trentino’s lakes and streams. The region offers different opportunities to meet their needs
Dog-friendly beaches and bathing areas, including 'Bau Beaches' (specially designed for dogs), are becoming more common throughout Trentino. This reflects a growing awareness of animal wellbeing.
- In Riva del Garda and Torbole, in summer, except for the dedicated dog beaches, dogs can access only the lakeshore and must be kept on a leash. In Torbole a beach allows the access of dogs to the beach, but only if kept on a leash and they are not allowed to swim.

- Dogs have access to the beaches “Lido di San Cristoforo” and “Al Faro”, both located in San Cristoforo di Pergine. Here, they are not allowed to swim in the lake and must be leashed.
- The public beach at Lake Levico is accessible to dogs (swimming is not permitted).
- The lake is accessible to dogs, they are also allowed to take a swim. The section between the wooden bridge and the campsite is not accessible to dogs.

- Dogs on a leash are allowed, but not in the water. In the southern part of the lake there is a fenced area with a fountain and a dispenser for dog fouling bags.
