Eagle-owls are nocturnal birds of prey. In Italy, they are very common in the Alps and the Apennines, while they are not resident in Sardinia and Sicily. The photo shows the eagle-owl Martha.

Wolves are among the biggest carnivores in the Alps. In the Spormaggiore Wildlife Park, wolves live in a forest of 3,500 sq m, where two large observatories in strategic positions allow you to observe them in almost natural conditions.

There are three adult wolves in the wildlife park: Papa Balto, Mama Sissi and their daughter Maya, born in 2015, as well as eight new puppies from the couple’s second litter in 2016.

In the wildlife park you can also see brown bears, the biggest mammals of the Alps.

Two female bears, the sisters Cleo and Cora, who were born in 1996 in the enclosure of the Sanctuary of San Romedio in Valle di Non, live in an area of 5,000 sq m.

Foxes in the Spormaggiore Wild Park. Besides the areas dedicated to the animals of the Alps, the park also has an educational farm where you can admire and get to know small goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, peacocks, chickens, ponies, etc.

The Wildlife Park Spormaggiore (Parco Faunistico Spormaggiore) in the village of Albarè-Plan della Fontana was set up in 1994 with the aim of providing a home to captive bears. Today, the park hosts several other animal species who live in separated sections similar to their natural habitats. During a visit at this park you will admire bears, foxes, lynxes, eagle-owls, feral cats and wolves in the stunning natural landscape of Trentino.

The Wildlife Park also includes an educational farm with farm animals such as goats, rabbits, chickens, ponies, peacocks and guinea pigs waiting to be stroked. The area also features a shop, a snack bar, picnic tables and a playground for kids. Spend an unforgettable day with your family!
