Bolbeno and Bondo: small winter sports centres

Also the Valli Giudicarie offer numerous possibilities to practice winter sports. The Borgo Lares skiing area in Coste di Bolbeno features two easily accessible slopes suitable for beginners and families. The pistes are frequently used by local ski clubs as well. Moreover, this area provides a winter playground called Bolbenolandia for little guests where children can ski in total safety and have fun with rubber dinghies and live unforgettable experiences in the snow.

From the winter season 2024/25 the Borgo Lares Ski Area will have:

a wider and fully illuminated piste for ski adventures in the evening.
The faster and more convenient new four-seater chairlift
will be inaugurated

This quiet valley is an ideal area for cross-country skiing. Bondo, a village between the Valle del Chiese and the Valle del Sarca features 2 km of cross-country ski tracks known as "Raggio di Lun" are suitable for both classic and skating techniques which are completely illuminated also at night. Moreover, in the village of Pracul in the Val Daone, cross-country skiers can find a 5 km long track called "Le Brume".

The Valle del Chiese is a renowned destination also for ice climbers. In fact, it hosts international events and competitions, such as the Ice Master World Cup and therefore attracts athletes from all over the world.
