The mountain chain which is 30 km long and 2,218 m high, divides the Valle d'Adige valley from Lake Garda and offers a great view. The Tratto Spino (2,218 m a.s.l.) can be reached within 15 minutes by the "Malcesine – S. Michele – Monte Baldo" funicular, which starts at the lake and was built in 2002.
Alpine skiers can find about 11 km of ski slopes of varying difficulty, featuring a drop of 400 m. The slopes are called Pozza della Stella, Prà Alpesina, La Colma, Falco and Paperino.
On the northern slope of Monte Baldo, there is the elevated plain of Brentonico (Vallagarina), where winter sport fans can find 18 km of well-groomed runs as well as 45 km of ski slopes, a toboggan run as well as winter hiking paths.
