The mountain chain which is 30 km long and 2,218 m high, divides the Valle d'Adige valley from Lake Garda and offers a great view. The Tratto Spino (2,218 m a.s.l.) can be reached within 20 minutes by the "Malcesine – S. Michele – Monte Baldo" funicular, which starts at the lake and was built in 2002.
Alpine skiers can find about 10 km of ski slopes of varying difficulty, featuring a drop of 400 m. The slopes are called Pozza della Stella, Prà Alpesina, La Colma, Falco and Paperino.
Also on Monte Baldo, on the Brentonico High Plateau, is the San Valentino - Polsa Ski Area with 24 km of slopes. Some days a week it is connected to the Baldo - Garda Ski Area by a shuttle bus.
