Ponte Arche

The name of the village, Ponte Arche, comes from the old bridge (“Ponte” in Italian) across the Sarca River, which connected the villages right and left of the river

Ponte Arche, a district of the municipality of Comano Terme, is a small village at 400 m asl. Despite its small size Ponte Arche is the economic and social centre of the whole Giudicarie Esteriori region.

The village with its alpine climate is located in the southwestern Trentino, half way between Lake Garda and the Brenta-Dolomites. Thanks to its close vicinity to the Thermal Baths of Comano, Ponte Arche is a popular holiday destination. From the village a nice path through the park proceeds to the thermal baths.

The area around the village is well-suited for any hiking tours, for example to the summit of the Monte Casale mountain, most famous viewpoint of the Giudicarie Esteriori. From there a gorgeous panoramic view on seven mountain lakes and the impressive peaks of the Brenta-Dolomites and the Adamello-Presanella-Alps can be enjoyed.
